Almost…

What do you think of the word “almost.” I am not versed in lexicology, but it seems that “almost” is a combination of all and most. There are an “all” and a “most” inside “almost.” I like that. That means there is much to be learned from the journey of waiting. This is how I interpret it. My three chapters are in, my proposal defense will take place soon, and I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. And I am sure, when I get there, there will be another “almost.” And this will cease only when I pass on to a dimension that goes beyond time and space, with God. We are in a “not yet” space, while all the gifts Christ bestows on us are ours… NOW. Enjoy the ride, everyone!

Meanwhile, I will keep holding His hand as a child, skipping along the way, with intrinsic joy in the pure fact that I can hold His hand and trust His leading towards the almost. Join my hand, and let’s skip together.
